My dear friend Esme Kenny went missing on saturday. Sunday morning (Somewhere around 1:00 a.m.) her body was found. She was murdered by a man who has many, many charges listed under his name, and yet is allowed to wander the streets of Cincinnati! He has previous records of being a sex-offender... Please pray for Esme's family and for all of us at S.C.P.A. This week is going to be a very hard week. Esme was only a seventh grader. She had so much potential, like evreyone at scpa does! She was the sweetest girl you could imagine... Not having her there tomarrow is going to be rough for everyone. Esme was captured while she was jogging alone...ALONE! Please be careful people, we live in a dangerous world. Don't go out alone.

I am so sorry to hear that. I live in Northern Kentucky, and that was in the news paper. Do you know who murdered her?

Amy...we must not be afraid and we must fight back with good people joining together to show by word and deed what sort of world we want...this is what Esme would surely want and be proud of as the reaction from her friends...she obviously gave you so many good things in your heart and mind and now you and all of us can continue to influence others positively and build communities in which we can all thrive. We only lose if our head drops and we hide behind doors...we will only have regrets if we fail to turn Esme's spirit and example into a force for good. You have already done this by telling us about this wonderful person.

Here's a page that gives credit to such a wonderful child--a young adult living her life better than most adults even dream to live theirs. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20090308/NEWS01/303080018/
Peace be with all who were touched by her--While I have never met her, Thanks to Amy, Esme may live on as we remember that as strong and independent that our children are--they are still just children. Thank you Amy. My prayers are with you and Esme's family and friends.

Oh this is just terrible news! Is there anything that we as a community can do to help? What is SCPA?
This is a nightmare!
