Barnmice Equestrian Social Community
The video community for horse people everywhere
As you probably already know, our website now has details about all of our presenters. However, if you are anything like me you can hardly wait to see them, and are dying to know more! Well, today’s blog will give you lots to do until June 4th. I have been spending all my extra time prowling around the internet, learning more about our fantastic line-up of presenters, and over the next week I am going to share with you some of the websites I’ve found.
Dr. Keith Betteridge specializes in equine embryos and early pregnancy. Click here to view his Equine Guelph Researcher Profile (select Dr. Keith Betteridge on the scroll down bar). Anyone who breeds or plans to breed mares won’t want to miss this!
Michael Boyd is Chair of the Hanoverian Breeder's Club of Eastern Canada. Hanoverians are a popular breed of Warmblood, originating in Germany. These majestic horses excel in the English disciplines at FEI level. If you’re not familiar with the breed, punch Hanoverian into Google Images to see some gorgeous horses, and it won’t be long before you’re dying to learn more from Michael Boyd!
Bob Broadstock is the president of the Quarter Horse Racing Owners of Ontario, who will be talking about the Quarter Horse racing Industry, which is gaining rapidly in popularity thanks to the Quarter Horse Racing Industry Development Plan, What a great way to rejuvenate the history of North America’s most popular breed of horse!
If you are interested in the stars of Standardbred racing, you’re in luck! John Campbell, 2009 inductee to the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 2009
will be joining us. Jody Jamieson, winner of the 2009 O’Brien Award Canadian Driver of the Year, will be joining us as well. See what Jody is up to these days by reading his blog on Standardbred Canada, including how he was stranded in Iceland!
Check back this week, because this is just a start!
