I am so pleased for both you and Maya. While I realize that there will always be unwanted horses, it is so difficult for me to comprehend slaughter. I may be showing my ignorance here, but do people in Canada consume horse meat or was she destined for dog food? I won't even feed my dogs canned food for fear that there could be horse meat in it. Maya is lucky to have found a good home and a loving person to care for her. Obviously you have some beautiful subjects for your photography.

Thank you Jenna! The picture is of my 8 year old Arabian gelding, Spirit. (aka love of my life). You would never know it now, but when I got him about three and a half years ago he was about 150 lbs underweight and had a terrible case of pasture fungus resulting in hair loss. He was quite pitiful but he touched my heart in such a special way. We've come a long way and he really is quite beautiful and intelligent. I also have a 5 year old buckskin paint mare named Sierra. She is very sweet and loving. Your horses are beautiful as well! Enjoy your time with them!

Ya like i totally understand what u r saying and i totally get that hes never gonna be perfect. I mean hes so young like u cant expect him to be pefect 4 ever. Thats why i dont wanna give up on him cause i believe that hes gonna be a great horse...u just gotta give him a chance.
So ya but thanks 4 the little tip... :p
So how r ur horses doing...like the new guyz???

LOL sorry if that was kinda confusing of what i worte at the bottom. We rnt really thinking about selling him yet...not now, its too early.........
:P

well i dont know yet i mean hes just so young that we dont know how hes gonna turn out. But the thing is like be4 he has been improving so much, and then spring came. so hes probably got spring fever. But also cause elite is best friends with this other horse named puffin. We put elite beside puffin and they became like best friends like if puffin is out being ridden in the arena elite will NOT stop whinning. So i think now its getting serious about elite and puffin. So elite does not want 2 leave puffin so he becomes bad. So i dont know wut we r going to do we may wait a couple of weeks, at the most maybe a month and if he still is being bad like that we may move him into a different stall. But if he still continues to be that way...we dont know what might happen. If hes really becoming that dangerous we may have to sell him. I really dont want to like even though i cant ride elite yet he and i r like best friends now. He really know me now kinda and he is just so sweet that u could never imagine him doing something like that. BUt i think he did that because the person who was riding elite is pretty rough and doesnt realize that elite needs a very gentle rider on him. So i think she got on too quickly and too hard on him and he freaked out and bucked her off. But i was not there when it happened but i dont want to give up on himm. I mean hes young hes not gonna be perfect...i want to get on him and see wut happens i mean im not always that rough of a rider and i get how delicate elite is so i dont know whats gonna happen yet.....

Oh okay that makes sense....ya that would be good for diamond. Glad to know that she is turning out to be a great hunter/jumper!
Ya im hoping the time will go by quickly.
Ya but i dont know if cabreo is getting ridden that much and same with elite. Another person tried out elite well rode him since he wuz being bad in the lunge line so she got on and she did not even ahve stirrups in and elite just bucked and she fell off and elite stepped on her head, leg and shoulder...but she is doing fine so she did not break anything...so thats good but the thing is elite is becoming a pain lately. So i dont know wuts gonna happen....

Heey ya i kinda know wut ya mean about the jumping thing make it more interesting. but like wut do u mean like do jumps like that at the show?
Haha thanks. IM excited to get back in the saddle. Cant wait to go to shows and stuff like that. I have 2 more weeks left! so im really excited.
Ya i get people to ride cabreo for me. Ya know make sure he doesnt 4get all the training i worked on him. I mean hes gotten so far like i dont want him to get lazy (cause hes a lazy boy) and i want him to improve while im out for awhile :P

haha i TOTALLY agree with u about the show sheen! ;P
Hunter will be good for diamond. How high u gonna jump with her?
I know a pony who is very forward too like that..well she has a short stride but is very quick especially when u point her had a jump.. she just goes at at! She likes to go fast but sometimes its not good with her. Shes VERY comfy to ride though. when u canter her u practically just sit there and she does most of the work. But shes not push button though. But its really weird with her like when u ride her she tends to go more slowly and nicely when u have a looser rein but if u have a tight rein she tries to book it. But shes a sweet mare
bTW good luck at ur show or any upcoming shows!

Thanks good! my pony can jump 3' but we jump him 2'6 because we dont want him to get hurt. Well i luv jumping also and i like the flat too!! but the jumping is easier for me and flating is amore of challenge. I hope you do well with jumping and dressage! Thanks! Ur ponies are cute too!!!

Heey sorry i made a few spelling mistakes i meant to say that cabreos back is a little BONEY and that stuff that i use on cabreo is called SHOW SHEEN!
LOL i forgot the "N" on both of them...lol

Oh ya that sux that u could not go to that show but like u said theres always a ton more coming up! I love doing hunter/jumper at shows. Are u doing the jumper on diamond?
Ya its true hard work does pay off! youve worked hard on her so like i said u deserved it =)
Shes gorgeous too especially when u make her frame her head like that. GORGEOUS!!
Diamond sounds like a joy to ride (and i mean that in a good way :P) Cabreo is very comfy to ride too...he is very smooth and has a very fun jump! But in bareback his back is a little bomey but its not that bad hes really good with bareback. Just the thing is i spray show shee (idk if u know wut that is or not) its really to make the mane and tail shiny and nice but u can put it on the body sometimes too so i put it on cabreo and its a little slippery so when riding cabs bareback u kinda need strong legs lol!
I know wut u mean when u mean "pony" canter. The pony willow that i ride and train sometimes thats the one i fell off off and broke my collar bone on...hes kinda how u explained "pony canter" cause he has a REALLy fast canter and a BIG stride1 Hes like cabreo for jumping too he takes long spots...its pretty funn! lol!!!

Awesome! congrats! Well u deserved to place that good. I mean u did not do all that hard work and training on diamond for nuthing did ya? LOL =0)
She sounds like an amazing pony! Is she confortable to ride?
