Have not talked to Denise yet today but I was thinking of the same drill ie getting there around 1 and Denise and I can go out first and then pick you up. I have Donna's phone # so will call her at home. Gail.

When are you riding today ie Sat. I wanted to go this morning around 10 and avoid the afternoon rush. Gail.

Hi Chris: At the moment I can ride tomorrow but I also need to run a bunch of errands ie dog and cat food, hair cut, new othotic fitting ie casting for new ones, and other stuff like that. Did you have a particular time in mind for being there? Let me know and I will see what other appointments I have managed by then. Had an nice hack in the sun with the lady bugs in full force, around the corn field wall=k , trot canter and then around the wooded area. He was full of energy and wanted to do stuff places I did not. Oh, well. We got our work in. G

I would be interested in riding with you. It is supposed to rain. I am on hold now for a short while as we are getting a new dog and not sure what day we need to go to west of Bolton to pick it up. Pat is working Thursday so if we get it Wed. I will have to stay home to make sure all is well as this will be a 3rd one for us plus the cat. Will keep you posted. Gail.

Went to the barn and had a bareback ride at the walk. I put a Buccas heavier rain sheet on him and he looked like he was weighed down so much. He loved no clip or blanketing last winter. I feel sort of bad but if I want to ride this winter I need to be able to keep him from getting too hot to go back out. What happened to the good old days.

Sorry to hear about the ongoing medical problems all these horse seem to have. I am going up this afternoon to ride but not sure if inside or out. Do you have the dentist this trip? Think it is time to provide another blanket option. Not sure what I own now as did not use any last winter. Gail.

Long time no talk at length. Have you been outside with Spud in the cold fall air? Denise and I got out twice on the weekend. This week is freezing. G

Hi Chris: Just talked with Denise and I guess Lad and spud go north for the winter and part of that padddock gets roped off so would not be enough room for another horse. So, my idea of the three of ours together bites the dust. Gail.

Hi Chris: If we were to get there for 9 and get ready that should do it. The recent forecast was for rain by noon. If that works for you I will see you for 9. I will also email Denise and see if she would like to go with us. After Lauren was there I signed up for the vet, the dentist and the chiro. She was good for boosting the local economy! LOL Gail

Hi Chris: Just confirming for Sat. morning rain or shine for 9:30. Just want to check and see if you want to get there for 9:30 or ride for 9:30. Different people mean different things. I went for a short hack this morning and Pekoe was glommed with about 5 tons of mud all over. What a cleaning job that was. Only 1/2 hour as the deadline for my farm paper looms and the boss likes big sales. Rain should not start until later afternoon I believe. Gail.

Hello fellow barn mouser: Good day all around I thought yesterday. Lauren is good and I think she messed up some sceptics into believers. Love your Spud. I wanted to watch your ride but with guests there it got a bit crazy. Wanted to see how you handled him at the mounting block as he looked a bit busy there. I am your person for hills and trot work. Let me know when you will be there on the weekends. I like the mornings when it is still hot. Cheers! Gail.

Hi Chris: I was at the barn this morning when Barney was there and I met Spud. He is cute. Pekoe and I went out on all the fields alone other than the far north one. He has done a lot of hills this summer but not much trot and canter and so we are working on that now. I guess I will see you Sunday and or Sat. If you want to go for a hack I would be able to be there and ready to ride for 10 or so Sat and Sunday. I know that Denise will be with me Sunday but I guess that is just walk. If you want to go Sat. we can pick up the pace a bit if you like to trot or canter. We did it all today so I know Pekoe is steady. See you then. Gail.

Well, that is at least 2 of us. It works out to about $50/person and each horse gets 15 minutes to tell their story and then the owner has time to ask questions. Lauren Bode is the communicator and is about the best known around this area. Gail.

Hi Chris: Best not to ride when you are questioning safety. Good move and it sounds like you had fun. Pekoe and I have been out on the trails today and still mostly walking as we have all summer as it has been so wet. Not too long until we get to Ridgeview. Have not picked the actual day as yet but will soon. It was a good gathering the other day. I phoned Leslie the other day with an idea about getting an animal communicator to read our horses. I have never done that and it is amazing what the horses will tell her. I am sure Les will mention it to people soon. Gail.

I guess you will be one of the antiques at Ridgeview. I am always the oldest one where ever I board. Just went out for a hack in the woods at Pleasure Valley on our own for about an hour. What a good boy he is. He calls a bit but he has only been there a few weeks. I did not get a chance to ride with Denise as she was riding Sat. and I was free Sunday. It will happen one day. What paddock are Lad and Spud in? I am not sure where they are going to put Pekoe when he gets there. He is best on limited grass. You did not telll me where the 3 Hussars is. Sure I was not there though! Cheers! Gail Keep in touch!

Hi Chris: I am moving back to Ridgeview in September. Pekoe is the Rocky and he likes to be in the great outdoor for the summer so he is at Pleasure Valley until the end of August. I have a stall reserved at Ridgeview for July and August and therefore can go over and hack with Denise. I am going to try and set it up for this weekend. No, I did not ride at the 3 Hussars I don't think. Where was that? I was at Queens University from 63-66 and did not ride then for several years. I wonder why I am so famous at Ridgeview? Must be the horse! He has just gone through a horrible virus several weeks ago. All the horses in the area got it but it has gone and all are well again. What barn were you at before Ridgeview? Hope to meet you soon! Gail.
