I tried to send you some pictures of all my horses. Wayne is in there too, but he's pretty dirty. Gray overo with sorrel markings. My granddaughter is riding him in 2 photos. Let me know if you get the pics.

Is the gray horse in your photos Miss Faxed? Must be! She looks like Wayne. Who is the foal in your photos?

I was delighted to get your message about Miss Faxed. Wayne (Faxaholic) is still my favourite horse, though his show days are long since over. My 2 grandkids fight over who will get to ride him. He loved Trail classes when he was showing, and now we ride him through forest trails and everything he learned as a show horse, he uses as a trail horse.

Hey,
She dosent really rub she just sticks her head thru the fence and she dosent rub on anything else. She also dose it in her stable and she goes into different paddocks but i will try that. Im not allowed to braid or band her mand (miniature horse showing rules here) so not sure what to do i have thought about putting fake hair or something iin but not sure how to do it so its not obvious.

Hi K, my names Jess

you asked a question months ago on my Buckskins and Duns group, I decided to answer here cause it was so long ago

I saw the pic you posted and thats clearly a BAY DUN ,
Dun horses dont always need to have the striped legs to be duns, what matters is what gene the horse inherited from his parents. If he has one dun parent hes most likely a dun

there was once a misconception in this country that a dun without the proper amount of primitive markings was a "Buckskin" this is not true, A buckskin is a once diluted BAY (diluted by the creme gene)

a dun is a dun is a dun, even when it also carries the "buckskin"/creme gene
dun trumps creme

the Dun horse can come in BAY Chsnt. or BLACK (Dun,Red Dun, Grullo)

hey,
I saw you have a lot of experience with showing. I just started showing 3 of my minis and i find it hard to get them to stand up properly two of them have been shown quite alot already before i got them and im either not giving them the right commands or they are just to lazy to do it and i have a little filly who gets really bored of it all very quickly so i cant really do many training sessions as she then gets quite grumpy at shows any tipps???
Your horses are very pretty by the way.

yea I knew you could show them im sure there are just as many divisions as showing the big horsese except for the riding part. If I ever buy a mini I will make sure its registered so I do have the possibility of showing. But im big into showing my two three year olds in the APHA/AQHa world

wow hes so pretty! Yea you deffinatley can tell a difference. He reminds me of the build of my neighbors mini who was really stocky but small. He was colored though. If I ever sell one of my horses I want to get a mini just for company so now i have something to think about :]

They were really good.
I loved the Gypsy Vanner farm.

I forgot to tell you that the most work with horses out there would probably to have your own stable and do trail rides, especially in the mountains.
There's not much work out there with horses, unless your a western rider. Most of the work of there is Oil rigs, and cattle ranchers.
