Hello Darla,
Which Rescue are you involved with ? I live in Abbotsford, and for 4 years I was part of the New Stride Thoroughbred Retirement foundation, and I also have done some work with Circle F. I recently was given a lovely Appendix mare as she had razored her leg to the bone on the left hock with barbed wire, and the owner was young and had just had her first child, so was unable to provide the time and care to rehab this horse. Perhaps you have heard of us - Wit's End Farms? As you are a dressage rider as am I, you may be interested in checking out the clinics I run for Craig Stevens, a Classical Equitat ion master, visit my site for more info, cheers, Ann.

Hi, Darla:
I obviously don't look at my own page very often! Yes, Isabel is my Mum, and we are both still very invovled in dressage. She is an EC "M" dressage judge, and competing at the FEI level, my Dad is riding Para Dressage, and has ridden on the Canadian Team internationally. I continue to train, coach and compete nationally and internationally. We run 2 Gold shows in Salmon Arm, one in the fall and one in the spring, every year, as well as clinics from time to time. I coach all over western Canada and in tne Pacific northwest states.

As others have said, we'd need to know what you're doing with your horse now, and past experience to give…

The late medieval nobility turned dressage into a sport by giving public demonstrations of "horse ballets" to wow the commoners during public celebrations. They would do airs above the ground as well as movements on the ground. The late medieval kni…
There are horses that do not think the little fences are worth worrying about.
Are you lungeing him over the jumps just in a cavesson, or are you using side reins too? Do you lunge over jumps with a saddle on? Do not use side reins (I am not saying…
Where did I state that medival dressage was humane and correct?
I have stipulated that the SRS under Podhajsky presented dressage more correctly.
I know who Kottas is and he is not a horseman!
Podhajsky was a horseman and even General Patton was a h…
