In this clip the students are training Ellen Ofstads whole horse family, the stallion Fabuloso, the mare Lebrera and the sweetes foal Bravo! The students are taking turns on all the horses. In this clip I`m mainly training the foal. (I am the lady in red ;-)<br></br>

In this clip the students are training Ellen Ofstads whole horse family, the stallion Fabuloso, the mare Lebrera and the sweetes foal Bravo! The students are taking turns on all the horses. In this clip I`m mainly training the foal. (I am the lady in red ;-)<br />
It may look a bit chaotic, but in IRL it was a calm peace and an greate opportunity for learning....both for those with two and four legs!<br />

From the foals point of view he is getting used to a lot of new "things" in a positiv way! Not only does he learn from his own experience regarding the handling, but also being around while the parents are trained!<br />
When handeling the foal it is important to do the training slow and use a lot of positiv reinforcement/rewards, actually he is also being introduced to clicker training!<br />
The best we can do for this little guy is to take advantage of his curiosity and interest in new items and situations shown to him, and to make all his experiences positive!<br />
He is free to leave us at any time if he wants to, and as you se he sometimes also does.<br />
We try to not force him or to use any strenght at all, if he refuses, do not understand or simply wants to do something different, we allow him to.<br />
Give him a breake and gently ask if he wants to do some more later on.<br />
If he does it is greate, if not thats OK to :-)
