Skinny Dipping Anyone?

Well,you never know what you will run into on a trail ride anymore.....a few days back,the weather was nice and I had finished early with my farm chores ,training,so before going home I thought,I am going to saddle up my QH mare Risky and go for a nice ride along the river on my friend's farm.

It was wonderful being out on my favorite horse,slight breeze,sun shining,birds singing.Great day to be alive...just my horse and me,so I thought!

We had riden for a couple of hours and I said to Risky,"want to go splash about in the river a bit before we head back"?She seemed to understand and started to prance towards the river.I quickly dimounted and removed the saddle and rode her bareback into the river.

She was having a blast pawing the water,getting us both quite wet! I let her have her head and just have fun.As we made our way around a little bend in the river we came to abrupt stop...we both must have looked like we were suspended in time,lol! I couldn't believe my eyes.There right in front of us were three guys skinny dipping!!!!

After I came back to my senses so to speak...I could hear them saying,"hey,come on in.""come join us"! All that I could mutter was something like,"in your dreams",as Risky & I turned tail and made our way back to the bank.

Once back on dry land I slid from Risky's back and just buried my face in her mane laughing till I thought I'd burst!!! Funny thing was I think Risky was giving them the horse laugh too!!!

I have come across some crazy,funny things on my rides,but this one took the cake.When I got back to the farm and told my friends Rob and christine,they too burst out laughing.Rob said,"didn't know I had a swimming hole on my property for skinny dippers....maybe I should post a sign saying "skinny dipping at own risk"? Very funny,Rob...whos' side are you on...hmmmm. I think Risky & I will stay away from the river for a while,lol!
