Greetings Suzanne from Nova Scotia. We own a beautiful spanish mare (malandante X encantada) as well as a 4 yr old gelding (morgan dam) by your Botijo m. Monte Brio (aka baby brio we still call him) holds a special place in our hearts due to his incredible temperament, We bred our morgan mare to Botijo when he was in Toronto. I had always dreamed of having an andalusian and thought the closest we would ever get was to breed to one. A few months later we decided to take the plunge and bought our mare Solara. WE are looking for a suitable stallion to breed to her next yr. She is a little timid and yes just a little hot so I am searching for a stallion known to pass on a calm temperament. Wish you were not so far away as i would breed to Botijo again in a flash but shipping semen across the Canadian border can be complicated these days, especially from so far away. when I saw your name on this site, i wanted to say hello and congratulate you on owning such a fine stallion as Botijo M
Best regards
Mona

Hello Suzanne,

I was on your website and found that you own a mare from Dragonwood Andalusians too.
I bought two mares from that farm. I first found Fiesta D, one of Bonnie's last horses to leave her farm, the located a daughter by Don Marco, also Bonnie's stallion, and bought Festiva DW.
Last September Fiesta D foaled, we have Paloma, by Pavon II, he belongs to my friend/instructor Ellin Daum.
It is the most interesting and fullfilling hobby as I am always looking at horses of different or similar bloodlines, trying to learn about other people's breeding successes and planning for the next foal.
Stop at my site to see my PRE horses, I'll be joining the group.

Hi Suzanne
I have a PRE Andalusian named Arador el Viajero, he is son of Don Marco and his dam is Infanta CV. He will be 2 in july so not doing alot of actual work with him yet, will do some basic groundwork with him this summer and just getting him used to as much as I can, and teaching him his manners. He is very handsome and greying slowly. I would love to teach him the art of dressage either from the ground ( in hand) or hopefully in the saddle, if I can get to that level one day. I just love the breed, and he is my drean horse. He will be with me for life along with the companion I brought with him. Love to hear about what type of training you do with your young Andalusians?
