Thank you - yes - he is now actually starting his dressage training and being asked to work long and low - he is so willing.

Great picture Maureen. Thanks for sharing it. There is no doubt that you guys have fun. He looks like he is just waiting for the next cue. Are you planning to jump him as well?

Had my 11th ride on my 3 yr old recently gelded Swedish Warmblood - It is just too much fun - he is being so good and the trot/canter is just amazing and I am so proud of my boy and so excited about riding him.
Got some pics from today

Hi I am very sorry to hear about your horse. Loss of any kind is harsh, but to loose a horse in this way is beyond the normal pain! Not knowing if what you are doing is right, or wrong, or what to do is painful in the extreme. I had a horse poisoned a number of years ago, and we never even knew it was poison, until after the horse had died... we know now that we could have done nothing, but for years we wondered if there was something we could have done different... I learned over those years that in order to live with myself I had to come to terms with the fact that I did the best that I could, and that is all I could do.

You are right when we lose something that we love we only have pictures and our memories or a little memorbilia... I have lost many horses through the racing game, some I had to ship so that the others could be fed, and others directly to be killed, one-- our favorite broke his leg durring a race... so I really do understand your loss, and please know that I feel for you and your family.

take care and my empathy

My heart goes out to you. I lost my 3yo TB gelding this spring when he fractured his leg during turnout and it's not easy. Find comfort in the memories and special times you spent with him. I kept some of my gelding's tail and finally am ready to have something made with it. I had lots of support from my friends. Lots of hugs!
