I want to welcome all Canadian horses to the Jill Stedman dressage clinic, Oct 13 at Hidden Meadow Farm.  Cost is $85 for a private session. Jill is Scooter's trainer and she also has trained another Canadian, who will be showing Second level. Jill has shown up to Intermedaire 1 and is a student of Belinda Trussel.

Scooter did well at his Bronze dressage show at Travis Hall on Sunday.  He earned 65.8% for second at First level test 1 and 67.9% for third at First level test 2.  Next outing he will be doing F2 and F3 tests.  The judge did not notice when he bucked twice in the first test and only once in the second though!

Scooter did very well at his latest show.  It was his first time competing this year at First level at a small Bronze show in Kitchener.  He scored 65% for First 1 and 66% for First 2 for a 4th and 3rd respectively.Hopefully we can try a Silver show soon.My coach was showing him.  We were beat by another Canadian who boards/trains in our barn though!

Ohhh, how i know how you feel. The coat just keeps on coming out. The funny thing is that one of our Canadians will shed really bad one day but the others don't. But then the next day one of the others will shed really bad. I just wish they would all shed at the same time.   GRRRRRRRR...

Rare Breed 2002 Canadian Horse - Mare For Sale

Asking $4,500 but all offers considered, must find a home for her right away!

Mirabelle aka "Belle" is a 9 year old 15.3hh Canadian Mare. She is registered with the Canadian Horse Breeders Association. She is microchipped. She rides WTC both western or english. She is excellent for the farrier and has great feet, has always been barefoot and never been lame. She trailers well, ties, doesn't mind a bath. UTD on all shots, never been bred. You could do just about anything with this horse, she has loads of potential. She is not a super forward mover, more of a consistent and steady type.

She has been on endless trail rides, horse camping trips, beach rides, a number of natural horsemanship clinics and has participated in a few breed demonstrations. She is a fine representation of this wonderful breed.

She goes out in a group or alone. She does need an experienced and confident handler as she definitely looks for guidance and assurance.

I hate to see her go, but I just discovered we're having a baby. She will go to a good home only, prefer a forever home.

I didn't know if I could get used to Magie's shedding coat colour in the spring. I had seen other Canadians with a mousy coat before the black coat came in....Hmmm. But hers is different. It is almost a Bronze colour and then when the sun hits her coat, there are golden hi-lights. She is so unique and pretty!  I am looking forward to seeing her black coat come in though. :)  Yes I am a little biased, but I just think she is so neat! 

I had forgotten how thick and soft the Canadian's coats are....Like a Labrador Retriever! A massive fuzzy undercoat that defies the shedding blade...I have gotten a shedding comb meant for big dogs!  She loves it!!! It seems to be the only thing that gets the sheds out.  So different from my TB and TBx..they have lots of hair, but so different.  I am facinated.  :)  and covered in horse hair....LOL
