Horse with a Broken Body Has the Knack for Healing Others (teaching them to stand up on their own two feet with courage!)

We are accepting donations to keep this very treasured mare in our program and care. Her owner suddenly stopped covering her expenses due to his own hardships. We are working to acquire Straw's ownership as well as the budgeting for her care. In the meantime we need help from the community.

Comment by Christianna Capra on August 8, 2012 at 1:35pm: FYI - Straw has a clean NJ-ASPCA file, she is well supported for her balance, physicality, diet and care. We do need support to help cover these costs however. Once our nonprofit programming is fully funded, Straw's expenses can be covered in a budget. We are NOT looking to home her, she is super valuable to us! ;)

A free demo to the public is being offered on Sat August 18th, and Sat Oct 13th if anyone would like to come and meet this magical mare!
