You know, when someone passes out of your life, especially someone close to you, it reawakens you to the world and who you are.  My older brother Austin, aged 65, died a week ago on August 27th.  It came out of nowhere, a rare blood disorder, he was into the ICU and on life support within 3 weeks of  getting ill and then he went.  It was all so sudden, unexpected and sad.

Long ago I realized the power of gratitude, and one thing I know, I have no regrets about my relationship with my brother.  Although 12 years separated us, we were like twins, we shared everythng in our lives and were always there for each other, we talked on the phone for hours every week.  He lived in Toronto and I live in BC but there was no distance between us.  I count myself lucky to have known him all my life, he was a person who never judged anyone, had a heart full of love and was always helping others. Austin did not think of himself as anything special, but he was, and this is shown by the many comments on my facebook page, and his, from all the people who remembered his kind ways.  He never had a cross word to say to anyone.  Always wanted the best for everyone, people like him are a rare find indeed.

So many of us spend so much time being jealous of what others have, being competitive in so many ways, what's it all about really?  We need to stop sweating the small stuff, and realize what is important in life.  Hug your family, end the silly squabbles that really mean nothing, life is too short.  At the end of the day, nothing means anything but the memories you have, and I have many happy memories of my life with my brother, from as far back as I can remember.  Even with our animals, are we really cherishing the relationship and not the ribbons they win for us?  Do we really have gratitude for what these animals go through for us?  Our horses take us on journeys, physical and emotional, what is the lesson your horse has for you?  Do you need to learn to let go of control?  Be more in tune with yourself and the animal, and how are they showing this to you?  Are they hard to stop, acting up, rearing and bucking?  All of this is a sign that something has to change in your relationship.

To gain clarity with your horse is to gain clarity in your own life, they are incredible teachers on many levels.  They understand the way the Universe works and they have no ego to get in the way.  Their unconditinal love is so healing, but what do we give back to them?  Apart from basic needs like food and shelter, I see many horses starved of a real emotional connection, because the people who own then are disconnected also.  This disconnection is what causes most of the problems in horses - especially digestive, as they cannot digest the environment around them, both physical and energetic.

So step back and really look at your life, discard your emotion for a while and look at what is really going on.  So within so without, so all of our life is connected to every other part, like a spider's web, you cannot touch one part without affecting the rest, it sets up a vibration.  Where are you vibrating?  With love, joy and gratitude, or fear, stress and anxiety?  The animals in your life, horses, dogs, cats etc. will have anwers for you in their behavior and ailments, we only have to learn to see with new eyes, hear with new ears, and feel with our hearts instead of our brains.  Namaste.

thank you Helen, I am healing, as I know he is a special person, and I have  the gift of being able to connectg with those who have passed over, both people and animals, so even though I grieve the loss, I will survive and move on with life.  I do angel Readings also over skype, it  brings peace to many people, know that life is eternal and they are always with you in spirit, we just need to  quiet our mind and connect with them.  Much love and blessings, know that the white light awaits all of us, and Heaven is having a party when a blessed soul returns to the fold!! namaste
