Hello Pearl. You know, when I read that name, for some reason I imagined a white (ish) mare.  I was surprised to see what appears to be a deep red mare.  Seems like a quiet lady.

So cute, Kitty is just fascinated by the foal and when it's sleeping she just stands over it and stares at it. Total momma love

Oh boy there is a rodeo in Kittys stall, the baby is so full of life it is pure energy comming out the ends of her legs. What a precious busy baby. Between this baby and Chiquita the diva there will be some runnin goin on.

 It won't be quiet long Maureen.  They do the Kitty Shuffle.  Baby nurses Kitty is good.  Baby wants to nurse and nurse and nurse (we need equine pacifiers) and Kitty runs and baby runs and baby finally wins.  But it's an interesting dance until the filly claims her prize.

Just checking in, and see that baby is exhausted after a very big first day in this world. Mamma is finally getting some well-deserved  peace and quiet to enjoy her hay.

So when did she foal? I was watching at 1 am your time and knew it was imminent but Mondays' I have to be up early with my own big horses doing stable work. I love babys clean chrome on all four with the lightening bolt on the shoulder.

Kitty may be a maiden mare but she is a wonderful Mom, Baby is banging around on her sore udders and Mom just takes it and goes on eating. Nice baby, beautiful long and straight legs, great tail, is she bay and white or black and white?
