My grandfather as a young boy in Poland would polish his older brother's cavalry boots.  His brother was killed in WWI and my grandfather had come to Canada before WWII but we grew up hearing the stories.  Thank you for sharing

Thank you for posting this. Truly beautiful magnificent and brace horses and you can tell just how valued and loved they were by their Polish cavalrymen riders/drivers.

I'm glad to see the responses in recognition of these fine horseman of the past. They should never be forgotten as they were among the first to stand and fight against Hitler.

I was very touched by this clip. To so many people this is simply so far in the past that is like a fictitious movie. My coach as a child was a Hungarian Calvary officer, he lost many family members and was a very brave soldier and horseman. Although I am glad we no longer use horses in war I honour the heritage of all those outstanding cavalry men and horses in that very cruel war.
