Yes I do ride inside. Still the horses are outside in their winter blankets and I don't like to work him too hard or he has to be dried before he can go out. It takes a long time to blow dry a horse. I rode yesterday and it was around 30F but the wind really is tiresome. Hopefully we get some spring weather on the first day of spring. Winter has been unusually long this year and I am looking forward to some heat.
Had a very nice ride - inside but it's still putting the horse back out. He is outside but with a huge winter blanket and a really great shelter and two friends to cozy up to. I didn't work him too hard because if he gets wet then he has to be blow dried before he can go out. It takes a long time to blow dry a horse.
Nice to hear from you Suzanne. We are trying very hard to get rid of winter here in Calgary Alberta however it's still -11C here this afternoon. Supposedly this is the last day of cold. It puts a great damper on horse activities. However, I am heading out to ride right now and hopefully not freeze. Rita
Hello Suzanne Love your horse pictures and great horse quotes. There really is no understanding from unhorsey people when you want to continue the quest for riding knowledge forever.
Hi Suzanne, Welcome! I have been reading some of your very insightful blogs, and do hope you will include some on our home page. Re: Your lop-sidedness, feel free to send a message to our athletic therapist Claire Moscone Biafore in the Healthy Rider Channel and ask her advice, if you like. All of our specialists are available free of charge exclusively to our members and Claire is a miracle worker! Perhaps she'll even do a video on lop-sidedness :)
