I am always interested in animal communication. I know that my horse scans my body and he can tell if I am healthy. I had a heart attack three years ago. He seems to know when I am having angina. He puts his head near my heart and is very quiet. I would love to learn more. My dog also senses my health. He stays close and may run ahead, but returns to me a number of times when I am not feeling well.

Hi
I am interested in this and want to learn more. I have been in horses for a number of years and their were a few that responded to me like we thought as one or know what we expected to do. I now have a 4 year old that I got in October 2010. There were six of them. And this filly was the one that choice me. I wanted her younger sister but she was killed by the farm owner's horse. But this mare insisted to stay with me. When the others were sold she did everything in her power to make herself look bad. Hard to catch sitting kicking striking you name it she did it. The trailer left with her standing in the middle of the field. Later i went out and she whined and trotted rightful to me and put her face into mine. We just looked at each other and I felt something grow between us. After I had a falling out with the farm owner and wanted to move my horse and he refuse to release her. Later when he did she was real lame and in foal. Date of foaling date was unknown. It seemed to me that she wanted to come with me. The farm owner could not get her to move. I hadn't been out for a few months because of the bad situation. I walked up to her with the snow deep around her and the others standing around the hay feeder. She looked awful. I put my hand on her neck and she put her head up against me. she had no halter. When the trailer came she looked over and slowly started to walk over to the the gate she kept her head pressed against my back all the way. She stopped once to rest her feet. once to the trailer it took all she had to step up into the trailer. We have a bond now. I know when she hurting and she knows when i am not well. She is broke to ride she has a total of 5 hrs of riding including tacking abductions 20 hrs of trail riding road riding and a fund raiser for Dundas. She has miss stepped once only to catch me from falling while I was walking beside her. own

Hi new to this group. But have no doubts that communication with my horses exists on many levels. I wish I could access what they are thinking all the time, but it doesn't work that way for me (yet)! I only really specific pictures once in a while that just pop into my head - but moods and feelings I "get" all the time.

Shirley, I also feel I can communicate with my new horse, Cloud, in the same way. Maybe I just pick horses who I am simpatico with, to share my life.

I had a friend on Barnmice do a reading of my new horse Cloud. She was right on!! She had done a reading of Maggie last year. She is amazing, but I don't know if she wants her name out there for readings, so I will respect that.

What a wonderful gift you have Lauren! Life would be so much better for horses if we could all read their thoughts and know what they are saying!

Marty, I am curious what you mean by communicate easily with your horse?
Different folks mean different things by this. Do you pick up on feelings and moods kinda thing or actually experience an exchange of specific thoughts?
Interested! My guy seems to really pick up on my feelings. If someone makes me uncomfortable, when they are near us, he will respond by pinning his ears back when in general he is a very sweet friendly guy.Sometimes I try to ignore if someone makes me tense but he tends to remind me and keep me aware of my instincts. But I can't really read his mind except what he gives me in his little signs of behavior if I watch and pay attention. Some people seem to be able to connect in that way.
