This week I learned my stirrups were to long, so I shortened them and whow I can ride so much better. It even improved my possition of my heals, now I can keep them down and I stay more balanced in the saddle. I have gone from a walk to a trott to a slow canter. My horse has jumped a few times but not ready yet as I think I should get use to the saddle a little more. Out practicing with a friend who has got a new horse and is starting from scatch with him even though she can ride and jump,But I follow her and my horse does what she does and it feels great and they tell me what I am doing wrong. So I think I've done great, even did a bit of gymkhana on the week end too. Both my horse and I learned something new , my horse isn't afraid of the flags now. Next goal to ride a little faster.

Nice! It's amazing what just adjusting your stirrups can do for your riding position.
