JustWorld and Blenheim EquiSports Partner for 2014 Las Vegas National Horse Show

Las Vegas, NV -  Bright lights and eye-catching colors abound in Las Vegas, but last week there were two colors noticeable in particular abundance in the city's South Point Casino Hotel and Spa: JustWorld International's signature purple and blue.

From November 11 - 16, the South Point Casino Hotel hosted the 2014 Las Vegas National Horse Show, produced by Blenheim EquiSports, a long-term partner of JustWorld International. Thanks to Blenheim EquiSports' continued generosity, JustWorld International played a prominent role in this year's show, offering family-friendly events throughout the week. Geared toward raising awareness and funds for the non-profit organization, these activities included the fan-favorite JustWorld International Horseless Horse Show and the JustWorld Horseless Horse Show High Jump Finale.

More than 25 kids competed over the JustWorld Horseless Horse Show Course throughout the day on Friday, November 14, and later that night eight children who qualified for the High Jump Finale had their chance to compete in the center of the ring in front of a huge crowd. Without horses, each child cleared the high jump hurdle, impressing the spectators with their dexterity and determination. The final fence height cleared by the winner reached an astonishing 4'3", two inches higher than the 2013 winner! All participants in the Horseless Horse Show events received ribbons along with pizza, donated by Blenheim EquiSports. Blenheim EquiSports' VP of Marketing, Melissa Brandes, and JustWorld Ambassador Sarah Abdi, worked tirelessly to put on these events for the 2014 show.

Along with the high jump competition, the presentation of the Al Schlom Award took place during the opening ceremonies of Friday night's class. Schlom was on site to accept the award as an honorary JustWorld Ambassador, given thanks to his support and dedication since the nonprofit organization's inception in 2003. His daughter, international grand prix rider Candice King, was JustWorld's first Ambassador, and without both of their hard work and dedication over the years, JustWorld would not be where it is today. Schlom was presented with a one-of-a-kind JustWorld jacket, designed, produced and donated by Renard Cheval.

Additionally, the Las Vegas National Horse Show marked the launch of a new initiative for JustWorld International- "Donate to Decorate". Barns, riders and JustWorld Ambassadors donated to JustWorld to decorate the new chalkboard standards of the JustWorld jump. The designs were displayed during the 1.35m Las Vegas Speed Classic on Friday night, and contributors and spectators alike praised the jump as a success.

"It was really fun this year," West Coast Ambassador Sarah Abdi said. "We had some great activities that included all ages. We did our horseless horse show, pizza party and even decorated the chalkboard standards-Everyone pitched in to decorate the jump. Everyone commented on how unique and well decorated it was."

Abdi concluded, "It was a great show. We raised a good amount of money, and we had a lot of people asking about how they can become an Ambassador. Every year the participation seems to be growing. JustWorld was everywhere, from in Friday night's class with the decorated fence to = the Horseless Horse Show and P.A. announcements. People couldn't miss us!"
