The fire and breaking through the paper are very impressive. Not to mention the saddle removal...while under saddle! Lots of time has gone into these horses. Excellent demonstration.

These horses are ridden by the same cop everyday and will not only train for this incredible performance but are used for all regular police work. Our Police are keenly aware for the need to be able to trust their horse in all sorts of difficult and dangerous situations and understand that the horse must be able to trust their riders for the same reasons. The ability to meet the challenges of the job is dependant on the creation of this bond of trust and our Police Force are often found on the cutting edge of training, often the first to use techniques which strengthen not weaken this trust, it is not in their interests to have a horse perform it's tasks out of fear of it's rider as this will lead to a unpredictability at a dangerous moment.

That's our mounted Police Force for you, never mind the jumping through fire - who needs saddles anyway!?!

It's truly amazing that horses can be trained for performances like this! I didn't see much in the way of tail swishing or head flinging (from what I could see in the video) so that tells me that the horses were quite comfortable doing all this crazy stuff.

All horses are intelligent, brave and most of all, obedient. Let's face it, everything we humans ask horses to do is "not what the horse wants to do". Given a choice, what do you think the horse would choose.....letting us climb on top and go for a ride, or remaining in the pasture with his buddies, calmly eating grass? With the right, patient training, horses are willing to do just about anything we ask....truly a miracle, if you ask me!

my horse wont walk through a puddle of water, no less fire!!!! the horses are very well trained, but I do wonder if the horses enjoy doing this. also, are the horses train well, do they pet them at the end, do they thrain them with firmness and not violence? do the horses do this willingly?? but well done.

Outstanding!!!! The precision and energy plus the speed in which they performed took my breath away. The teamwork is remarkable and this should show how well they will do in crowd control. How in the world did they take their saddles off so quickly and seemingly easy? Wow!!!!

...Guess I have a different take on it....It's just TOO MANIC for my taste... it has neither poetry or beauty..... just because they can do it doesn't mean they should do it......Horses used to endure being in wars with guns and cannons too....doesn't mean they should have been there....Sorry......
