http://www.centaurbiomechanics.co.uk Equine Biomechanics Course & Rider & Movement Analysis Clinics April 1-3, 2014 with Russell Guire. Locations: Forest Hill Training Centre, Caledon or Whitaker Stables, Orangeville.
In the course find out how do horses jump or piaffe? What kind of stress do studs create? How is a horses movement effected by footing? Is that a 3 or 4 beat canter? At the clinics access your horses movement, and your postural weaknesses? This is about the "science" of performance biomechanics. Russell Guire contributed to the TGB's Secret Weapon for the London Olympics, the British Equestrian Federation's, World Class Programme, and has looked at equine performance from all angles. He has worked with some of the legends, Lucinda Green, Pippa Funnell & Judy Harvey... to name a few. Learning about Russell's research gives you that "ah ha" moment of understanding. Add science to your mental & physical riding tool basket!
