A sad day for the reining world yesterday as news of the legendary McQuay Stables "Colonels Smoking Gun" (known widely as simply "Gunner") was euthanized after a battle with laminitis.

What an incredible horse to have influenced the reining world. Quirky looking with a white face and tail, and absolutely incredible skills in the reining arena. He will be missed by many.
