Do you board or do you keep your horse at home? Tell us how you enjoy boarded life compared to keeping your horse at your house. What are the positives and negatives of boarding your horse at a public barn?

Comment by Karen Nelson on November 14, 2009 at 11:56am: I own a boarding stable so I can have the best of both worlds; friends to ride with and the ability to have my horses in my back yard and cared for how I want them cared for! I really enjoy the social aspect of riding, so riding alone just wouldn't be as enjoyable for me. On the otherside though, it is really important to find boarders that share our ideals and respect our property! Right now I have a great group!
