For the past 7 years I have been exhibiting our Canadian Horses at 5 different Fairs. We hand out breed info and contact info. We are always surprised as to how many people have never heard about the Canadian Horse.
Check out the Driving Horse calendar 2014: Hailey and Junior are the January poster pair!!
Magie had her first trip out by herself. She was an absolute star! Loaded perfectly, was a little worried at the farm we went to because it was a new experience but she glued herself to me and was fine.
She had her first experiences in an arena, did really well in her groundwork session. I learned that we have an awesome amount of stuff going on, but also I am creating some problems within our relationship I have to work on before our next time.
Loaded like a star to go home. I LOVE my pony. :)
Scooter looks lovely. Congrats on your success you two!
Selling him? :(
Around here, my horses never leave. LOL
Below is a picture of Scooter at Travis Hall Bronze dressage show. He won his Second level test with a score of 67.5%! He scored 7.5 on his gaits. He is for sale.
Hey Rose.
Congrats on another sucessful display. Did you bring your usual lady?
Gotta love the new brochures. I have been passing them out every chance I get. It is amazing how many people don't have a clue what a treasure Canada has in these little horses!!! So the more we get out there and 'wow' the crowd, the better. :)
People at the clinic we went to couldn't believe Magie had never been there before. She beat out the quarterhorses who actually live there on the tougher challenges in the playground. Second of course that she is only 2 years old. Whaaaa???
I have to keep an eye on her though....she trucks through some stuff when I ask her just to wait and process...She has the makings of a police horse I swear! Coming through...ready or not!
Brave little cookie.
Haa haa haaaa Queenrider! Scooter has you 'trained'! LOL
Magie was our sport horse's moral support when we trailered. Our other mare was a mess. She needs more confidence in a trailer. Magie was cool as a cucumber, but I could tell she was annoyed when we went to unload. We put a slow feeder haynet in the trailer because she is so rough on a traditional haynet. She kept tossing the new haynet and pinning her ears! I swear she was telling me it sucks to try to eat from this thing when it won't stop moving!!!!! She was bouncing it off her trailer mates head! LOL
I need to do some playing with Magie with the trailer so she can go to my friend's farm by herself. I have a feeling she will take it all in stride again..Is there fooooood there???? Cool.
The more I can expose her to, the better she will be when I go to start her. Trail walks, new places and adventures, maybe a fair or two, and not to forget, some 'scary' chickens.... :)
Congrats on Scooter's ackomplishments. Handsome boy.
