My husband and I own 4 gaited mountain horses, one spotted, and 3 Rockies. We have always loved horses and had some young experience but only became owners and involved when we became empty nesters. We love trail riding, studying horsemanship and anything "horse".

Actually, I'm moving to Jamestown which is about 1 1/2 hours north west of Farragut/Lenoir City. My husband and I bought a campground there and I'm hoping to be there soon. I'm still "stuck" in NH waiting to sell my house. My husband and daughter have already relocated. Maybe you have heard of it? It's called True West Campground, Stables and Mercantile. It's on the edge of Big South Fork. We bought it in January. I already had my horses transported there in April - I miss them! But I will be there for the week of Memorial Day so I can't wait! I'd love to get together with you some time soon. Thanks for accepting my friend request. I'm hoping to make some friends when I finally move out there. I'm sad to be leaving some really good friends behind - but this venture is my husband's and my lifes dream.
I read your profile and although I ddin't wait until I was an empty nester, I didn't own a horse until later in life either. I've always loved them but my parents couldn't afford to get one for me so I used to just get my fill by renting others and going on trail rides. When I was 18 I started taking lessons and did so until well into my 30's. Finally, 11 years ago I bought one of my own. I still have him (Trooper - he's the black TWH in my profile pic) and have since gotten another one (Skye - the palomino QH in my profile pic). I'm looking forward to getting out on the trails next week. If you have the opportunity, I'd love for you to come see us and ride with us!
Gotta go - it's nearly midnight here. I have to work in the morning (darn!). I'll look you up on facebook!
