I started riding in 2007 at a riding school called Northen Districts Riding School. I had a lesson ever second thursday on a little chestnut mare called Mono. She was the best thing that happened to me. Then one day i got a phone call, saying the riding school was closing down and selling all its horses. I was devostated. Most of the ponies found wonderful new homes except for a few. Mono sadly passed away on the 20th of May, 2011. I now have a gorgeous standardbred mare, Tara, who i bought on the 22nd of January, 2011. When i bought Tara she was uneducated and was out of work. I taught her that it was okay to canter and that she doesn't need to pace anymore. She can now jump 1.35m confidently and canwork nicely on the bit. She is my bestfriend and can't image life without my beautiful baby Tara.
