Hi Sonia,
I have been meaning to email Wendy, so I will let her know everything too. Sophia is doing great! We went to the RCRA for a show last Sunday. It was her first time at the RCRA and our first test (Training Level 1) she was looking at everything. The sunlight was coming in at strange angles and she spooked a bunch. However, we made it through the test and managed a 51. 435%. The second time we went in, Soph seemed to take it all in and process it and we did an awesome test. We were second in our class with a 62%. I was so proud of her for overcoming her fears and doing a good test. How is it going for you? Are you still riding and showing with Wendy?
if you are having trouble let me know via email at info@horsejobs.ca. Thanks
Sarah

Hi Yes we had a morgan mare, her name was Golden Harmony... we leased her for a number of years. Her owner (who outgrew her-- but loved her and wouldn't sell her) didn't know that she was being abused by the girl who leased her before us. By the time we got her she was a mental mess... she broke the girls arm for her over a fence and would no longer show... my sister and I worked long and hard on her (she was our first horse) but we turned her around and she ended up giving my sister some really amazing rides (I got another horse of my own by the time she was ready to show again). I learned to love the morgan breed with Harmony as their ambasador... My best friend also rode one called Acanac Kandu (think that is the right spelling... remember this was in the early 80's... I am old!!!) and he was a real charmer... he won against some pretty tough dressage compition! I am out of Ingersoll, but am orriginally from London... what is your farm name if you don't mind me asking??? I am not even sure if the Acanac Farm is still around since I raced for many years and have been out for many more.... but they were the farm of choice for morgans in my day.

Hi Sonia, I saw that you are coming to the Games from Canada. How cool! How long of a drive is that for you? I live near Lexington so my drive to the Games will be short. :)
Hi Sonia!
I wasn't able to be there either as I had a gig on Saturday night. Probably the best person to ask would be Linda. I've heard that it was a great evening. There's always next time. Cheerz! Dorothy :-)
Thanks so much! My girl, Lexus, (the silver black one) is due to foal any day now. I love them so much. They're treated like little A Circuit princes and princesses LOL. Lexus and Royal (the buckskin) are here forever. My other stallion is for sale (can't have two stallions and one mare lol). My other reason for selling him is that I'm looking to add a big horse into my life once again. Can't wait to see your Grandparent's minis...
It was a HUGE success! They are quite excited for my next clinic on June 1st!
I had one scary moment when I was told that one of the riders who was both narcoleptic and had a seizure disorder AND had only been riding since January of 2008, but she was just great! She could walk, trot and canter her horse in a frame no less and is planning on EVENTING this spring!!!! Her coach is a VERY BRAVE SOUL.
Hi Sonia! It was a pleasure to meet you. As you can see Bear and I (well, mostly me) are still figuring this whole dressage thing out, but we're having fun while doing so. And yes, I hope to see you around the barn too. Be well, Dorothy :-)
Hi Sonia!
It's too bad you were unable to make it last night. It was well attended and the presentations were fantastic! Details on the next one with Christilot Boylen will be posted on the Toronto CADORA group shortly. Be well and Happy Easter! Cheerz! Dorothy :-)
Hi Sonia! I actually have my own small stable so i ride at home!! I also ride at Pine Ridge (i trailor over for lessons). There are many good stables around the area - it may take some research to find a good dressage barn that would have a horse for you to ride - the dressage barns that I know of are more private and dont have 'lesson horses', just borders in training. You can try checking the OEF website - they have a list of stables in the area, or keep on asking around barnmice!
Great pic by the way! adorable horse!
