i ride at my own farm my two older sisters and my mom and dad live on a farm with 16 ridable horses and ponies and 3 dogs and 3 cats and ema my 1 dog had ten puppies last year and we are going to find out if she has puppies in her in about two weeks so yhea

I sadly don't have my own horse but I ride a 11hh grulla pony named Prize. He is an evil pony...He is pretty much mine..I ride whenever I want if I muck his stall..it's a fair trade off! He loves to buck and run lol!
I'm training a TB, she's a bay and her name is Fehrie, for hunter. She's nice :)
I'm helping on of th eboarders at my barn with their pony, Jake. he's gorgeous but evil. He is a sneaky, lazy, evil. He only wants to buck once and you come off! lol!
Sadly they're not mine but it feels like they are! :)

Yep, she had untreated founder before I got her and now she's lame, like, every other week. When I'm not riding Cadence tho I'm riding my lil Shetland Houston (Hershey). :D

Haha! Luckily the vet is coming out to check her tomorrow (Saturday) and if she's stable, I get to ride her in a show on Sunday! :D :D :D

Hi thanks for the comment on my picture ;) my horses love to go cool down when it's really hot, they just dive right in to the water, even tho they hate being washed with a hose or a bucket ;)

Jake can be good soemetimes too! lol your lucky you've got 2 horses! even if you can't show..my showin consists of a little club show with about 3 enlgish classes and then western games lol! its fun though! And I need a bigger mount too...I just don't see that happening soon though! I may be working/training an appy stud once he is gelded though..can't buy himbut I'll take what I can get! Myproblem with small ponie sis that I'm too tall but I'm not hurting them!and no one else wants to ride Prize because I'm always getting bukced off :P I wish I had my own horse!

I don't really have a specific disicipline. I've done just about everything!
I have evented, shown hunters, western games and performance(not a very well mind you!) dressage...I love to jump but I can't do jumper because the shows don't have a low enough divison for an 11h pony! I would love to get into jumpers though. Fehrie will be a hunter. What about you? Do you have a specific disicipline?

Dressage is okay..I'll admit, I like jumping more but you can only really jump once a week or less, so I do lot's of flat..I taught Prize how to do lateral work..It really helps him, when he's not bucking lol!
Fehrie can only do flat because she's a baby..she's pretty porrly behaved though. We don't get along very well lol....
Eventing is great! You'd love it! I did one one-day-event...I got second last! lol I rode Pee-wee, a 9hh sheltnad in the pony/novie divioson...he didn't like the arena, or the judged table lol He was amzing in stadium! We went claer and he only tried to fump me once lol
Cross country was horrible! he didn't want to leave the other horses and bucked and reared and refused everyfence so I hit in front of every fence and we cleared the first 4 from a stand still before being eliminated! lol he's a good boy though! If you go to any you ahve to tell me how it goes for you!!

I went to my first hunter show ever on Sunday! I rode a baorders appy, Toy. We did the 2'3s because that's what her owner wanted....she didn't like the jumping and refused like 10 times but it was a schooling show so that let me finish the course lmao! in the flat class we got 3rd! I was sooo happy! I was in an open division too..so I was riding against trillum and A circuit riders !! It was fun!

And that's the only reason I ride them! lol..if they didn't buck me off, it wouldn't be too exciting lol...it wouldn't be exciting for the people watching either lol

aha that's funny! i went trail riding with some people from my barn and Scotty a 17 hh TB/percheron, was spooking at everything and Pee-Wee, 9hh had to lead because he doesn't spook lol!
And thanks! Toy is a western pleasure horse though..that's why it's so funny that we placed lol! and I'm 14, 15 in October..I'm just realyyy short like 5 ft nothing lol..ponies = life! :P how old are you?

Good job in dressage...that's where I suck lol! and flowers=monsters! it's a well known fact! I'm sure you placed well though :)
Goooo shorties! yay! I'm gad I'm not the only one...I don't want to grow! I want to ride the ponies my whole life lol! They're great! I don't know of a horse that bucls like Prize and acts liek him! he has the cutest personality though..quite the character. :)

My summer has been great...no school!
I have been to 2 shows so far this year, a hunter schooling wicth I think I told you about before and Orwell in May..I missed a show on the 21st because I got sick on Friday before the Sunday show..I have a show this weekend nad might be doing a combined test :)
I'm excited!

its just like a english riding pony but its breed in new zealand they are really showy and stuff.

and camping is almost as good as showing..I went to Sauble Beach and Falls last year. Have you ever been there? Where are you going camping?
Orwell went well..I got three thirds, a fourth, a fifth, a sixth. I would have done better but Prize likes to buck lol..I didn't get bucked off YAY!
In hunter hack, english eq, and english pleasure, Prize had spazzes and bucking fits..we placed last in thoe but the classes were only of 3! In hunter hack the class was bigger though, around 8. I did western gaming for the rest of the classes...all of the explosions stopped AFTER english, when we had no chance, what-so-ever at winning! I stayed on the whole time and got lots of compliments of how well I cuold stay on! haha! A lot of people also said that Prize was pretty..I of course, had to agree!
Now Prize has lot's of ribbons on his stall! =D

yeah, I do love them :P
and the camping was great, like the place and everything EXCEPT there were severe thunder storms the entire night lol! we all got a bit wet :P

That's funny, I have a 16 year old bay gelding who's really a chestnut mare in disguise, and my 8 year old chestnut mare is really a 16 year old bay gelding in disguise! They must have been visited by aliens...

just kind of a joke since my friend had a chestnut TB mare that was a total wild thing. "hell hath no fury like a chestnut tB mare" I'm told. :)
I felt nuts enough for getting a TB mare, even bay! I'd had a lovely sedate gray Appendix QH (only 1/4 TB) and after riding a few TBs thought they were a little too tightly wound for me. So, of course, I ended up with one after Ihad to euth my mare. I think it was her way of making sure I didn't get too complacent about my riding!!

It's been way too long!
I've been riding lot's this past summer! How about you? Prize, the pony I work with, and I did some showing, failed at them, but we did it. Fehrie, the Thoroughbred I'm working with went to a hunter pace! Her first time off the prperty, in the trailer, on the trails and in water! She was great!
I'm going to a winter schooling show this weekend with my sisters pony, Kaydee! I'm sure it'll be great fun!So what's up with you??

Hello! I came here with the intention to ask a question but I saw at the top of the page it says it's your birthday. Soo... Happy Birthday! Haha. =)

Anyway, I wanted to ask... How old was Diamond when you started her training? I hear you rode her bareback and without a bridle when she was young because she disliked tack. My horse, Dots, is almost 2. I was thinking of waiting till she was 2 and 1/2 or close to 3 before I start riding her but I was thinking of trying bareback first as well.

No, sadly not...we can't afford the board but I am training Fehrie, riding Prize and will be riding a couple more babies soon as there broke.
I have exciting new plans for Fehrie though! The owner, Henry, want to start her over fences, do some schooling and a few Trilliums this year with her!
