A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)

I ride at flying hoofs stables with my bff's in burlington,ky.I own Mckenzie shes secretariats grandaughter and romanticos daughter shes crazy but thats why i love her. hopefully throughout the 2010 year mckenzie and i will become better with the help of friends and jessica reuthie my trainer and laurie maurie a retired grand prix rider and judge who my sister and i will possibley be taking a few extra lessons this year with. I also own corsair hes a belgian quarter horse hes on loan to the horse park hes doin vaulting there next time your there ask to see him. I also train to welh poies doodle bug and jitter bug but there for sale right now :( jitter will be doing hunters and dooodle is a jumper star leased by madi mall !

Don’t EVER tell me that riding isn’t a sport. Riding is a sport at the very LEAST. Its not staying after school for two hours of practice seven days a week. NO - its driving twenty-five hours to get to the show, just to wake up at 3:30 in the morning on a SATURDAY for a horse show and staying there until 12:00 that night only to wake up at 4:00 again. Its having complete control over your body, emotions, and nerves and communicating with a 1200 pound animal that could kill you at any moment. Riding takes more dedication and practice than you will ever know, unless you experience it yourself. Think you can multi-task?? Try controlling your body in a way that is soft and subtle while steering and communicating with your horse in ways that are invisible to everyone else, memorizing and riding a complicated course of jumps and executing them all perfectly, AND handling all the pressure that is poured on you as soon as you step in the ring. THAT is multi-tasking. So think again when you try to tell me that riding isn’t a sport, because its not only a sport - its my LIFE, and I love every minute of it!
