A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
My Name is Loryhl Davis, I have been self employed as an herbalist for 25 years. My company, that manufactures, herbs, blends, liniments, salves, syrups, teas, tinctures, blends etc for horses, pets and people is, Herbs of the World. We are located in the remote mountainous area of Salmon, Idaho.
My two youngest daughters, who still live at home, are actively involved in all things horse. They train, in english riding, jumping, natural horsemanship, scientific horsemanship, and many other methods, all geared to a better partnership with horses. Both girls are active in horse sports, and do and have held Rodeo Queen titles at local and State levels. They are becoming experts at all things horse.
Herbs of the world is commited to the partnership between humans and animals, to exist together, on earth, in the healthiest way possible, for man and beast.
We have participated in horse rescue and recycle, speicalizing in competitive horses off the racetracks of North America, and the placement in good homes of PMU mares and foals. We have helped educate women, on using synthetic premarin, instead of the urine premarin, and in the plight of the mares and foals, sent for meat, to Japan, and France. Over the years, we have assisted in the placement of 100's of horses, to good homes.
We work with rescues, SPCA's and Humane societies across the US and Canada, donationg herbs and expertise in administering herbs to animals of all kinds.
I am presently the Voice of Herbalism, at www.herbnet.com, click on Ask the Herbalist. It is the most hit on site, on the internet for information on all things herbal. I have had and assisted in home births, midwifery, herbalism, alternatives of all kinds, and the study of herbs and herbalism, from many cultures and disciplines, over the years.
I am a Canadian citizen, residing in the USA. We are horse and animal lovers. I am married to a wonderful kind, gentleman, and have the amazing privelege of having, 5 children, 3 step children, and 3 grand children. ( many more to come I am sure).
This is a PMU mare named Suede. She is 5 yrs old, and we are training for "in hand trail". Suede is sweet and intelligent, patient, kind and willing to learn with me.
