A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
I got my first horse 40 years ago today (7-4-1970, I was 19) after having trail ridden in Chile and Uruguay for four years while in grade school.
I am now disabled with Multiple sclerosis. I still ride due to the kindness of others (human and equine}.
I now ride Forward Seat on the flat, since I am too disabled to jump.
I adore Arabian horses!

Hello Jackie. I also wanted to thank you for the welcome to Barnmice. I am just getting to "know the place", so it took me a little while to figure out how to reply to you on this page. I look forward to slowly getting to know my way around and the people and horses here. I thank Barnmice for making me another mouse around the yard.

    Hello Jackie,

I am new to this and you are the first person that I've returned a comment to. I'm glad that you had heard of the Tellingtons Pacific Coast Equestrian Research Farm. It was a wonderful school and certrainly changed my life. You would have loved it too, I'm quite sure because all of us that went there did.  My book tells the story of what it was like.  I hope to hear from you again. Best regards, Shannon Yewell Weil

Thanks Jackie, as never having retrained one I hope I can learn much from the people on this site. He seems to be an easy and fast learner so I feel with him it wont be too much trouble. He is such a loving horse and just wants to be played with and cuddled all the time.

  • Geoffrey Pannell

Yeah, he might well be quiet enough for you Jackie. He is quite amasingly quiet, and not just for a stallion for any youngster.

  • Gina Graves

Thank you Jackie! Isn't this just a great horse site?! I'm so happy I found it. So much infomation - it's like Pinterest but just for the horse community - I'm in love! :)
