I am a confirmed horse-aholic. I get such pleasure just sitting in the barn or paddock. It is my solace, where I can be just me. I have ridden all my life but had family constraints. A lot of the messages I have read fit to a "T. I also went through a period in life with much negativity to my horses. (All they do is eat and Poop, I just don't understand) to the point that I gave up. However I finally came to my senses and now at 60 will never be without a horse again. I have an older TB gelding, around 28. I bought him when he was 3 and now have a yearling colt. Money is always a problem but God will help supply what I need to maintain.
Anyway good to meet you all and I am looking forward to learning more.

I have a wonderful dog named Tia. My old TB gelding is Jesse. Boy have we learned a lot together and baby is Crack, an Arabian/saddlebred yearling.
Hi Ridergal49,
Looks like we have the same birth year! Being 60 is like explore a new adventure in a different time warp.... not sure how happy I am about it. I lived in Wichita during the mid 70s and early 80s. When I drove thru for a visit about 5 years ago I could barely recognize it. Have you been in Wichita long? You've had your buddy for a long time. My mare is 28 this year but I have only had her for 20 years. You have the record!
