This is a great question! And although the difference can sometimes be small subtle and tricky to fix, it is vital to understand the difference as a rider because both of these take a very different correction. In this video, Olympian and US team member Steffen Peters talks about the subtle difference between a horse being too short in the neck and being too low in the neck and what you need to do to fix it. This is a great little "chalk talk" to break down a bit of theory that all riders need to know and understand.
This lesson was filmed at the Robert Dover Horsemastership clinic in Wellington Florida in 2016.
