A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
I got my first horse 40 years ago today (7-4-1970, I was 19) after having trail ridden in Chile and Uruguay for four years while in grade school.
I am now disabled with Multiple sclerosis. I still ride due to the kindness of others (human and equine}.
I now ride Forward Seat on the flat, since I am too disabled to jump.
I adore Arabian horses!

Yeah, it is sad, but when I 1st started training him I knew the end goal was so that he could be sold! Little Man and I were a great team, the barn owner even offered to give me Little Man in exchange for work. But my parents said no. But I know that LM is in a good place and I hope his new owners enjoy him! And dont worry, I dont really have time to be sad about him leaving, Im up to my eyeballs in colt projects that I need to focus on!

Thank you for the welcomes to barnmice. I am looking forward to meeting everyone. How many horses do you all have?

  • Gayle Vautaw

Jackie and Patti, I am guessing you have arabs. I have a friend that has foundation  preservation herd of babson and brown breed arabs. I love them. They have wonderful minds. They are very well behaved. I have handled a couple of her stallions and what gentlemen. I lived with one for a few years. He was such a good boy.

If people only knew what they are missing. My guy had a great mind and took very good care of me. The floating trot everyone would like to live with. He is a great boy. The young girl who bought him is enjoying using him for 4 h.

Thanks Jackie! Lovely to meet you & hoping you're still able to get up on some equine friends. I volunteer at a Theraputic Stable once a week as my daughter rides there when we can afford it. Horses have always kept me sane & now they help her with speech & better body control. I'm jealous of the wonderful places you've trail ridden. How wonderful,I love to just hit the trails too!
