The Ontario Equestrian Federation is hosting an Equine Canada level General Performance judging clinic on Feb. 27, 2016 with renowned clinician, coach and official, Lindsay Grice.

Whether you’re a potential judging candidate, a current official, coach, competitor, fair organizer, competition manager or parent, everyone is welcome to attend this one-day clinic held at the OEF office in Richmond Hill. General Performance judging is often suitable for fairs, saddle club shows and a variety of breed specific competitions (Quarter Horse, Paint, etc.)

The agenda includes judging conformation, show ring presentation in showmanship, judging the English disciplines (Hack Division, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Over Fences, Jumper) and judging the Western disciplines (Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Reining, Trail, Western Riding, Speed Events).

An extended clinic option for current judges and potential judging candidates is also being offered on Feb. 27. It will run into the evening (4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.) and will cover additional topics, including judging fundamentals and the rule book. Extended clinic participants will then practice scoring classes and finish off the evening with a question and answer period.
