What kinds of things do people do to vary the riding routine in the winter?

What does everyone do to vary the routine once the weather gets too cold to ride outside?
How do you keep your horse (and yourself) from becoming bored to bits in the arena?

Now we travel to Arkansas where we can ride all year long. But, before that we played with clicker training.

On a practical note, backing in the stall, head down are things you can work on.

On a fun note, retrieving, painting and playing a toy piano works too!
