What do people do for cardio and strength cross-training that is effective, specifically for riding.

Also, it would have to be something that can be done indoors (the weather here will be terrible for the next few months).

Hi Richard!

I work with a personal trainer once a week, doing weight training and some cardio. We've also started to incorporate some Karate (she's a black belt and an instructor) and she includes in my work out moves that will build core muscles appropriate to riding. It helps that she's also an equestrian coach so she knows which muscles need the work and what kinds of exercises to incorporate. I've found this has really helped me with my riding.
