I have been following Habitat for Horses posts about Adoptable Horse of the Week and I am wondering where all these abandoned horses come from. Were many of them once beloved by someone? Did they get too old? Was the owner not able to afford them? Did they go lame? What are the options is these situations? I would be very interested in hearing positive ideas that people might have for helping these animals. Some stories with happy endings might be nice too!
