Summary
Responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions. Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery. Works together with the support team to achieve a high standard of customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
Primary Responsibilities
1.Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
2.Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge
3.Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues
4.Follow up on new leads and referrals
5.Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
6.Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
7.Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
8.Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
9.Identify and resolve client concerns
10.Communicate new product and service opportunities, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
11.Assist in the development and implementation of special sales activities
12.Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
13.Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
1.Participate in marketing events such as seminars and tradeshows
2.Follow-up for collection of payment
3.Liaise with buyers and warehouse staff to coordinate shipping of merchandise and services
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
1.Extensive knowledge of horse equipment and the equine industry
2.Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
3.Must be fluent in English and possess basic reading, writing, arithmetic and computer skills (email, Word, Excel, internet)
4.Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
5.3-5 years of sales or marketing experience
6.Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to clients
7.Work requires extensive local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid class G driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
8.Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel (approx 20%)
9.Ability to speak French is an asset
