Maple Leaf Meadows International (MLM) is an equestrian facility located in Edmonton, Alberta. MLM is committed to training riders of all ages and abilities in the areas of horsemanship, horse husbandry skills and horseback riding.

MLM is seeking a self-motivated full-time Dressage Instructor to co-lead the Dressage Program. The primary role of the Dressage Instructor/Team Member will be to maintain, build upon and encourage participation in all aspects of the program.

This is a unique opportunity as the Head Dressage Coach currently co-operates a “sister” dressage business in Germany while training and campaigning for International Competition at the Grand Prix level. She commutes monthly between both stables and has the capability to teach live from Germany to MLM’s arena in Canada via a custom camera and audio system. The new instructor will be encouraged and included in the German stables; training and competition experience.

The Dressage Instructor will report to the Head Dressage Coach, and will work in the barn with other disciplines and instructors. The coach will be responsible for lesson planning, organizing their lesson schedule, and meeting the needs of various clients both horse and human. The Instructor will work within MLM’s core teaching philosophy by teaching the Passport to Excellence.

The Instructor is welcome to bring their current students to join the MLM team. Currently, MLM is home to 75-100 horses and welcomes approximately 120-150 lesson clients each session. MLM offers a number of services to its clients including riding lessons, summer camps, horse training, horse boarding, horse shows, field trips and exceptional horse care.
