Dr. Jenny describes emotional fitness as “The ability to rise to meet the situation by calling upon current or growing emotional capacities, without compromising ethical or character beliefs. It is an ever-increasing tolerance for enduring emotional stress and being able to perform, regardless of the situation.” The two-and-a-half-day forum will dive into developing these techniques in your horse and yourself, and applying the principles to your horsemanship.

Friday night will kick off the forum with an exciting and revealing session that will convince participants to commit to challenging their emotional barriers. Saturday will focus on understanding your horse’s specific innate behaviors, listening to your “Inner Voice” (and the importance of doing so), and harnessing your energy to overcome mental blocks. Sunday concludes with sessions on understanding horse and human partnerships, and the continuation of the weekend’s lessons in emotional fitness.

The Emotional Fitness Forum will offer attendees a textbook example of the versatility of the Parelli Program. What is truly special about the Parelli Program is that the techniques one uses in horsemanship can be applied to other facets in their life, including relationships with spouses, coworkers and peers. In the future, Parelli Natural Horsemanship will hold more events like the Emotional Fitness Forum with Dr. Jenny and Linda Parelli, in order to help individuals see the connection between horsemanship and human relationships.
