I just wanted to see how many people on Barnmice had ever been to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon, Manitoba.  When did you attend?  What was your favourite memory?  Any other comments?

Last time I was there was 3 years ago ... I think! Times goes by so quickly! I have to say that one of my most favorite ever events there is the Heavy Horse classes -- it is amazing when the ring is packed with the huge heavy horse hitches who come into the ring and show their stuff!! The thunder of their hooves and the tension in the air - the suspense, the magic of these magnific animals. It never ceases to amaze me how these huge horses are all so beautifully groomed and polished and their amazing harnesses and decorations too - the bigger the horse the more the cleaning on them!! Gotta hand it to their grooms and handlers for their dedication - more than matching the size of their animals!!
I intend on going again this winter - can't wait!!
PS of course, I love to watch ANY horses in action ....
Ive been there twice, this year to pick up my nutural bitless bridle and last year for the first time. Took my son there both times with the free childs ticket. Always love the heavy horses, the drivers make it look easy. My sons favorite is the superdogs. Once u get there its hard to leave!
