Horse takes jaunt into cinema complex

Talk about stealing the show...

A horse ran through the open automatic doors to a British cinema, amazing filmgoers who were expecting more conventional entertainment.

The horse, one of three which had escaped from a nearby property, was spooked near the cinema by a passerby and began running towards the cinema, in Boldon, South Tyneside.

The automatic doors to the cinema slid open and the horse ran in. It crossed the foyer and ran down a corridor before turning around and exiting the way it had entered.

The horse ran down the road and was safely recaptured.
