so in April when my mare arrived home I had a vet do a preg check and he told me she was open. Well now she looks really Prego and has a full bag. She is waxed up and even elongated or dilated as the brand inspector said. My concern is she is not comfortable were she is at. were we live is only open dry land. Were we board her at she is in a 35x40 pen or as they call them stalls. We had to take down her shelter because of a 17 year old girl throwing fits. I told he management that I do want a shelter up and they assured me that they would be up before summer hit. but there still not hear. She is a mustang off of open range and I am concerned that she is "holding on to the foal, and the vet that comes out to this area is positive he is not wrong. This will be my first horse to actually foal. I have bought mares with foals and even raised an orphaned foal. so I will take all the advise I can get.
