Recipe for Homemade Bug Spray

I'm looking for a good natural bug spray for horses. The less I have to use insecticides the better....Anyone have a mixture that they'd like to recommend?

Thanks Rose, I get that magazine but I am soooo behind in getting reading done. I did get a book read (almost done reading) "Hope" that is a true story of a lady and her journey with horses to the point that she does life coaching and other similar type things with horses and people. She is able to help people and horses work threw many different issues. Right now I am very interested in learning all I can about these types of things and am hoping somehow I may be able to learn something similar to do myself as I'm not currently working and I'd like nothing better then to be able to help horses and people like this.
