CPEDI 3* Concludes with Final Day of Freestyles at 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival

Wellington, FL - Week two of the 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), featured CPEDI 1*/2*/3* Para Dressage, presented by Mane Stream courtesy of Rowan O'Riley, Mission Control, Adequan®, and Nutrena. Competition concluded on Sunday at The Stadium at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), in Wellington, FL.

The 2017 AGDF hosts seven CDI events, two CPEDI competitions, and national shows through March 25.

Robyn Andrews (CAN) and Fancianna, a 2001 Friesian x Andalusian mare owned by Andrews, were successful once again today, clinching a win in the Para Freestyle Grade I - CPEDI 3* with a score of 73.056%. Andrews and Fancianna also finished out the CPEDI 3* as high point horse and rider of the week.

Robyn Andrews (CAN) was awarded with the High Score Award for her performances aboard Fancianna during the CPEDI 3*.

Placing second to Andrews in the Para Freestyle Grade I - CPEDI 3* was Jody Schloss (CAN) and Lieutenant Lobin, a 2004 Danish Warmblood gelding (Lobster x Farine) owned by Schloss, with a 66.944%. Third place was awarded to Roxanne Trunnell (USA) and NTEC Daytona Beach, a 2002 Westphalian mare (Don bedo x Weindame) owned by Roxanne Trunnell and Kai Handt, with a score of 62.778%.

Katie Jackson (USA) and Wembley, a 2004 Westphalian gelding (Wolkensteinn II x Stutbach I Regata x Regazzoni) owned by Jackson, began the day with a win in the Para Freestyle Grade V- CPEDI 3* with a score of 61.792%. Other classes included the Para Freestyle Grade II - CPEDI 3* won by Laurietta Oakleaf (USA) and Niekele Fan Busenitz, a 2004 Friesian stallion (Sape 381 x Wemke H x Fetse 349) owned by Oakleaf, with a score of 70.889%.

The Para Freestyle Grade IV - CPEDI 3* awarded a win to Eleanor Brimmer (USA) and London Swing, a 2002 Hanoverian gelding (Londonderry x St.Pr.St Ribanna x Rubinstein I) she owns, with a score of 65.167%.

Riding a freestyle inspired by her horse's name, London Swing, Brimmer commented, "My horse is a little lazy, so I was looking for something really bright and fun and peppy to keep him going. I wanted that bit of swing music in it."

Brimmer will be back to compete in the next CPEDI competition later in the season. "I'm going to continue my work training with Shelley Francis, and my goal is to just keep moving forward and keep improving. These new tests after Rio are very specific on transitions, and so we are going to keep working on the transition work," she said.

Competition at AGDF will resume Thursday, January 26, with the CDW-I and FEI Grand Prix Freestyle, presented by U.S. PRE Association; FEI Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix Special, presented by Yeguada de Ymas; and FEI Small Tour, presented by Chesapeake Dressage Institute.
