World Class Vaulting Performances

Laurent Beauvais, the President of the GIP (Public Interest Group) of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™  2014 in Normandy and of the Lower Normandy Region congratulated the winners and the organisers of the World Vaulting Championships which finished yesterday at the Pôle Européen du Cheval in Yvré-l’Evêque near Le Mans.

Following the European Championships in July which were also organised at the Boulerie Jump facilities by Philippe Rossi, the Vaulting Manager of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy, the competition lived up to expectations.

France’s Nicolas Andréani was crowned World Champion for the first time, confirming his regular world class performances.
He finished ahead of Germany’s Erik Oese and France’s Ivan Nousse was third.
As for the women vaulters, Scotland’s Joanne Eccles won the gold medal.

France also achieved a wonderful team performance, finishing third, behind Switzerland and Germany.
In the Pas de Deux competition, Austria, Great Britain and the United States finished on the first, second and third steps of podium respectively.

These victories are good news for equestrian sport, they foresee world class vaulting performances during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. This demanding discipline provides wonderful entertainment which is appreciated by everyone”, highlighted Laurent Beauvais.

Indeed Normandy will host the next major sports event for riders, drivers and vaulters from 24th August to 7th September 2014. In particular, the vaulting competitions will take place from 2nd to 5th September at the Zénith Auditorium in Caen.
