[Lexington, KY] - For the first time ever, the Alltech National Horse Show is in Kentucky, and for as low as $10, you can be a part of history in the making, while at the same time benefiting a noteworthy charity. Fifty percent of the net proceeds from the Alltech National Horse Show general admission gate receipts will be donated to the various charities featured each day at the event.
The 128th Alltech National Horse Show will be held from November 2-6, at the beautiful, new Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Tickets are now available for purchase online atticketmaster.com, and range from $10 to $30. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult (limit two child tickets for every paying adult). Parking at the Alltech Arena is free.

Daytime: The Shriners Hospitals for Children
Shriners Hospitals for Children has a mission to provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. It also provides for the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals, and conducts research to discover new ways of improving the quality of care and quality of life of children and families. This mission is carried out without regard to race, color, creed, sex or sect, disability, national origin or ability of a patient or family to pay.
Dr. Henry Iwinski, pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shiners Hospital, said, "We are thrilled to be selected as one of the charities for the Alltech National Horse Show. Over 10,000 children from Kentucky and the surrounding states are currently receiving expert pediatric orthopedic care at our hospital. Gifts such as this one from Alltech enable us to deliver that care regardless of the families' ability to pay."
Evening: The Alltech Sustainable Haiti Project
Just days following Haiti's devastating earthquake in 2010, Alltech began its work to help rebuild the country through tangible, long-term investment. Within 48 hours of the quake's cessation, Dr. Pearse Lyons was in Haiti identifying opportunities for involvement, and the Alltech Sustainable Haiti Project was launched. Today the project includes complete financial responsibility as well as renovations for a grade school in northern Haiti and the resurrection of a Haitian gem - the country's 100% mountain-grown Arabica coffee. Organically grown and Fair Trade Certified™, Alltech's Café Citadelle coffee is hand-picked, ensuring a consistent and flavorful coffee at the peak of its richness. Most importantly, the coffee provides a sustainable livelihood for the people of Haiti with all proceeds from Café Citadelle going directly to the thousands of families working for the co-op as well as two Haitian primary schools.

Daytime: The Kentucky Horse Park Mustang Troop
The Kentucky Horse Park Mustang Troop was designed and is dedicated to providing services, activities, and supervision that will help engage youth in a manner as to keep them off the streets and hopefully off the path that leads to gun violence, gang affiliation and substance abuse. Through the collective efforts of staff members, volunteers, parents, and peers, the Mustang Troop has proven a successful avenue for children looking for structure, guidance, and purpose in their lives. It is the goal of the Kentucky Horse Park, and the Mustang Troop in general, to encourage children and young adults to live up to their potential by giving them, through their work with horses, the necessary resources to be successful in school, work and life as a whole.
Kathy Hopkins with the Mustang Troop stated, "The Mustang Troop, and the Kentucky Horse Park as a whole, is overwhelmed and extremely grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the Alltech National Horse Show. Evening: Kentucky Horse Park Foundation
The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing, expanding and improving the Kentucky Horse Park. The Kentucky Horse Park, located on over 1,200 acres in the heart of Kentucky, is known throughout the horse industry as a competition facility and working horse farm, and to visitors from around the world as a beautiful and serene tourist destination. The Kentucky Horse Park celebrates the horse, in all its forms and interactions with humans. It is the world's only park dedicated to humankind's relationship with-and love for-the horse. More than one million visitors travel to the park annually to explore their own personal relationship with horses. Daytime: Louisville Mounted Police
The Louisville Mounted Police's mission is to help ensure that Louisville is one of America's safest cities by using private donations to provide the Louisville Metro Police Department and its officers with essential equipment and programs not covered by tax dollars. The Louisville Metro Police Foundation is a private, independent and non-profit charitable organization and focuses its spending on four categories: crime fighting, excellence in policing, health and well-being of LMPD officers, and community partnerships.

Evening: Kentucky Equine Humane Center
The Kentucky Equine Humane Center (KyEHC) is a first-of-its-kind facility, established with the specific goal of providing owners with a humane option when they need to give up their horses. No horse in Kentucky in a precarious situation is ever turned away. Those who can be adopted go to loving homes and, like dogs and cats, those with chronic pain, hopeless injuries or illness are compassionately euthanized by a licensed veterinarian. Since KyEHC opened its doors in 2007, it has given refuge to more than 650 horses.

Daytime: Lexington Mounted Police
Friends of the Lexington Mounted Police, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supporting the horses and officers of the Lexington, KY mounted police unit and their outreach training efforts to mounted officers throughout North America with an annual National Mounted Police Colloquium. The Lexington mounted unit also offers The Civilian Equine Sensory Clinics, supporting civilian riders.
"We recognize and appreciate the enormous support of corporations in the sustenance of equine sports. Without this level of involvement, these sports would not be able to maintain the level of excellence we are experiencing in the current economy. Evening: United States Equestrian Team Foundation
The United States Equestrian Team Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America's elite and developing international high performance horses and athletes in partnership with the United States Equestrian Federation. Its main tasks are to support athletes, promote international excellence and build for the future.
