Fourth Annual Angelstone Tournament Offers Over a Million Dollars in
Prize Money Over Six Weeks of Events

Rockwood, ON.  – May 22, 2013 marks the beginning of six weeks of competition between May and September at the Angelstone International Show Jumping Tournament. Highlights of the fourth annual horse show will include five Grand Prix events, the FEI World Cup Qualifier, the 2013 Young Horse Championships, and over a million dollars in prize money.

Professional equestrian Keean White, who competes in Grand Prixs around the world, founded the tournament. The entire Angelstone Team grew up riding and approaches their jobs from the perspective of the exhibitor.

“Because everyone on the Angelstone Team rides, we know what exhibitors value most at horse shows and have worked to incorporate details that riders appreciate, such as All Weather rings, camper spaces on site, improved stabling, and more,” said White. “We are committed to building a tournament and venue that is considered a true jewel within the North American competition schedule, a show environment that is responsive to the needs of both rider and horse.”

In addition to the myriad of opportunities for professionals, Friday evenings during the competition will be Junior Amateur Nights, offering special events for Juniors and Amateurs. On Friday, August 23^rd, Canadian Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Lamaze will host an exclusive riding clinic for the leading point winners in the 1.10m, 1.20m, 1.30m and 1.40m Junior/Amateur divisions at Angelstone’s two spring competitions in May, as well as the first week of competition in August.

Tickets to attend the Lamaze mini-clinic will benefit Angelstone’s Commitment to Educate Scholarship Program, an initiative that awards a university scholarship to local enthusiasts under the age of 18.
