Mark Your Calendars Now for Brandywine Valley Summer Series Presented by THIS

 

Devon, PA - The Brandywine Valley Summer Series, presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce that the 'AA' rated hunter and jumper competition will be returning to the prestigious Devon Show Grounds in 2013. The Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will be a summer highlight, held June 26-June 30, 2013 and July 3-July 7, 2013, with a local day of competition on Monday, July 8, 2013. The event features a full array of hunter and jumper events for horses and riders of all levels, benefitting Danny and Ron's Rescue and Main Line Animal Rescue. 

 Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) and Johnson Horse Transportation have been continually strong supporters of the series since it's inception, and this year Johnson Horse Transportation is delighted to sponsor the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. The derby will be the Sunday highlight on June 30, during the first week of competition.

 

The Brandywine Valley Summer Series is also excited to announce that for the first time, the show series will feature two $5,000 National Hunter Derbies. Thanks to first week class sponsors Outer Beaches Reality and the Risser Family and second week class sponsor Concord Pet Food and Supplies, the classes will take the Saturday night center stage on both June 29 and July 6.

 

Over the two-week series, more than $100,000 in prize money will be awarded across the hunter divisions, ranging from professionals to ponies. With classes held in the Dixon Oval, the Adult Hunters, Children's Hunters and Pony Hunters have the opportunity to compete in the esteemed Devon grandstand.

 

This year's divisions will include the $5,000 Green Working Hunters, the $3,500 High Performance Hunters, the $1,000 Performance 3'3" Hunters, the $1,900 Performance 3'6" Hunters, the $5,500 Amateur Owner Hunters, the $6,000 Junior Hunters, the $4,500 Pony Hunters, the $2,000 Children's Hunters, the $1,500 Adult Amateur Hunters and the $1,500 Small Hunters.

The show will also feature several hunter classics and stakes including the $1,000 Pre-Green Incentive Stake, the $500 Marshall & Sterling Children's Hunter Classic, the $500 Marshall & Sterling Adult Hunter Classic, the $500 NAL/WIHS Children's Hunter Classic and the $500 NAL/WIHS Adult Amateur Hunter Classic. Junior riders will also have the chance to compete in the WIHS Equitation, the USEF Talent Search, the ASPCA Maclay and the USEF Medal.

 

Jumper classes at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series continue to grow, with alluring prize money offered to jumpers competing throughout the two weeks. Divisions include the $14,500 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers, the $3,500 Children's/Adult Jumpers and more. Highlight events for jumpers include the $5,000 M&T Bank High Junior/Amateur-Owner Hall of Fame Classic and the $3,500 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Hall of Fame Classic.
